I have fond memories of watching David Bellamy on various TV shows when I was a child, sharing his love of the natural world and everything botanical. I was saddened to hear of his death and this is my small tribute to him.

Buy the matching Bellamy Cowl pattern as well and save 30% on the second pattern - add both to your cart. (Previous purchases apply but the pattern needs to be in your Ravelry library.)

’Bellamy’ is a botanical themed hat with curved stems, seedlings & seeds, flowers, fruit/berries and leaves. There’s even a little stalk on top!

Designed to be a ‘stash buster’, you can use your little scraps of colour for the different elements - or choose a colour coordinated theme.
Alternatively, go with just two high contrast yarns for a simplified version - it looks just as good!

Sizing
It will fit an average adult head of approx 22” round and 8.5” brim to crown.

Yarn
I have used small amounts of Jamieson Spindrift, and Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper weight. The background yarn uses less than 25g.
(I have also made it with just two contrasting colours of Drops Nord.)

The pattern includes a full list of the colours used, plus the colours for the pink/purple version.
