I was so honored to be included in Crochet Foundry’s 2023 Blog Hop! I created a center-out, overlay mosaic crochet design for this event.

View the full written pattern for free on my website or check out the support video on YouTube. Or purchase the PDF here. The PDF includes an x-marked chart that is not available elsewhere.

I love overlay mosaic crochet for colorwork since you only work with one color per round. And I love doing it from the center-out because then there’s no cutting of your yarn (so no ends to worry about) and the results look so complex and amazing!

The yardage and weight estimates are based per square so that you can easily calculate how much yarn you’ll need, but we don’t join squares together when making this blanket! You can make this blanket as large as you want by following the repeats (thus the Infinity part of the title).

I almost finished 5 x 5 squares before running out of Tundra-colored yarn. Then I used a full ball of Obsidian for the border.

Most of my designs are for interlocking crochet and overlay mosaic crochet; this design is for overlay mosaic crochet only.
