Bellmore Tank Top is worked bottom up in the round. It features an elegant panel of tulips in the front and a 3x1 rib. The rib creates a close-fitting garment with 8-12 cm of negative ease. The top of the garment has a few short rows, that make the front longer than the back. The Tank top is framed with rolled edge and finished with i-cord spaghetti straps.
Inside you are going to find detailed instructions with links to short videos for the ‘confusing parts’ of working the top:
• connecting to knit in the round
• 2 stitch cables
• 3 stitch increases and decreases to make the flower on the front panel
• wrap and turn short rows
• working an i-cord
• sewing on the straps and much more…
Most of the knitting in the pattern is qualified as an ‘easy, TV knit’ with just a few short parts that will need your attention. With 8 sizes to choose from you can spend your whole summer making this top for all your friends and family.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate/Advanced Beginner (links to videos of more advanced part are included)
Skills Required: knitting in the round, 2 stitch cable, 3 stitch increase, sssk – 3 stitch decrease, short rows, i-cord.
Yarn: striped tops - Loops and Threads Cotton Colors (Michael’s brand yarn) in colors ‘Coral’ and ‘Sherbet’, 100% cotton worsted weight yarn, 394 yds/360 m in 7 oz/200 g. Teal color top - KnitPicks CotLin in color ‘Cyan’, 70% cotton, 30% linen yarn. Or any cotton blend DK/light worsted weight yarn to meet the gauge.
Yardage: 204 (223, 242, 257, 272, 292, 306, 315) meters/222 (243, 264, 281, 296, 318, 333, 343) yards of yarn.
Needles: #5 (3.75 mm) and #6 (4.0 mm) circular needles 61cm/24 inches or shorter for working in the round, or longer circular needle for working magic loop; two #5 (3.75 mm) DPNs for working i-cord. Note: I had to go down in size of the needles to get the same gauge for KnitPicks CotLin yarn, using #4 (3.5 mm) for rolled edge and straps and #5 (3.75 mm) for the main pattern.
Other Materials: 5 removable stitch markers, cable needle (optional), yarn needle.
Gauge: 22 stitches = 10 cm/4 inches and 27 rows = 10 cm/4 inches in 3x1 rib (k3, p1) after washing and blocking. The main body of the top is worked in 3x1 rib. Flat, freshly blocked swatch will hide purl stitches. Measure the swatch slightly stretched, making the purl stitches visible. Do not overstretch.
