The Chateau de Beloeil is a big castle in Belgium surrounded by a moat, much like this dishcloth’s Herringbone stitch is surrounded by applied icord. A stretch? Well hey! You just learned about a beautiful castle in Belgium so just roll with it!

Finished Measurements: 7 1/2” square measured side to side, 9 ½” measured diagonally, 1 ¼” hanging loop.

Yarn: Knit Picks Cotlin (70% Tanguis Cotton, 30% Linen; 123 yards/50g): Harbor (MC) 24464, Crème Brulee (CC) 24137, 1 ball each.

Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 16” circular and 2 DPNs, or size to obtain gauge

Notions: Yarn Needle

Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows = 4” in Herringbone Texture, blocked.

Notes: The body of the dishcloth is worked, then stitches are picked up around and an applied icord is worked before adding a little loop hanger to finish.
