The Bergen vest features a large drapey cowl, sutble waist shaping, and is designed as a wardrobe staple. It can be worn over t-shirts or shirts and, with its soft drapey fabric and cut-away shoulders, is also easy to slip on under jackets and blazers.

Two length options are provided. The standard, longer, length (Option 1, pictured) works well for wearing both out and partly tucked in. The shorter length (Option 2) allows for slightly different styling e.g. for less ‘tuck’ when teaming with a high waist.

It is knitted from the bottom up in the round. The upper front and upper back sections are then worked separately flat and joined at the shoulder seams.

I-cord edging is worked along the armholes as you go and gives an interesting alternative to ribbing.
