Until July 14th the lovely hand-dyed Bourette Silk used for this pattern is on sale here: Handdyed.dk.

Berit Blouse is a simple summer blouse knitted in Handdyed Bourette Silk, a truly beautiful silk yarn. The blouse is worked from the top down. The design is simple, while the hand-dyed yarn makes the blouse truly unique and beautiful.

The back, including the sleeves, is worked first. The shoulders are shaped using short rows, and once the sleeve depth has been reached, the sleeve stitches are bound off, leaving only the body stitches. Stitches are then picked up along each shoulder, and the two fronts, including the sleeves, are worked separately using short rows as for the back, with increases to shape the neckline. Once the neckline has been completed, the two fronts are joined and worked in the same manner as the back. The front and back are then joined, and the body is worked in the round. The body is finished with a twisted rib hem, and finally, a narrow neck edging is worked.
