This simple little crochet hat was originally designed in 2016 and to celebrate its tenth birthday has been re-named, revised and re-written with many improvements.

The hat comes in two sizes child and adult, although it is easy to modify and customise sizing as the ribbing section is worked first in one long length.

The pattern uses 1 x 50g ball of DK weight yarn with very small quantities (1-2g) of contrast colours.

The original design (2016) was made with Stylecraft Wondersoft DK and Stylecraft Special DK. The 2026 version was made with 50g Drops Fiesta with some DK weight yarn advent minis.

Finished size is approx. 20cm height (brim to top ex. bobble) and 24cm width (flat at brim) for adult size and approx. 17.5cm height, 20cm width for child size.
