Better Together was born when I fell in love with a skein of yarn that was achingly beautiful but far too scratchy for my sensitive skin. I knew I wanted to make a hat out of it but how could I make it something I could actually wear??

Enter Superior cashmere…when paired with the scratchy sock yarn, it instantly transformed it into something buttery soft that I never wanted to take off!

The Better Together Hat shows that when we come together, we can make an unfortunate situation not only bearable but entirely enjoyable. <3

The yarn I originally used to design this hat is Hedgehog Fibers Twist Sock, though I have since used a skein of Koigu KPPPM held with the Superior to make an even more luscious accessory! (Seriously, if you’ve never used KPPPM, what are you waiting for?!)

The yardage needed for this pattern if holding a strand of each is as follows:
Yarn A: 130 (150, 175) yards of sock/fingering weight wool
Yarn B: 150 (170, 195) in fingering weight cashmere
(Optional: If you do not wish to hold 2 strands together, you may use a DK weight yarn following the Yarn B yardage requirements.)

Sizes Available:
Adult Small (Adult Medium, Adult Large)
To Fit Head Size: 19”-20” (20”-21”, 21”-22”)
