BIAS BLOCKS is a simple scarf with a distinctive slanted design. The construction of the design is simple, and the pattern involves no complicated techniques, making it suitable for both beginners and more experienced knitters. This is a project where you can find calm in the repetitive nature of the pattern and can focus on the joy of the knitting process.

The scarf is worked in two different strands of yarn held together on 6 mm needles. The combination of two yarns with different textures creates a soft, substantial fabric with a beautiful and lively look. By combining two yarns you are also given
an invitation to play with colors. If you use two that are close together in color you create a subtle, harmonious effect, while combining two colors that are further apart creates depth and character to the scarf.

An added benefit of knitting with two different strands of yarn held together is that the yarn ends are easier to weave in invisibly. The lively texture helps conceal the ends, giving the finished scarf a beautiful, polished look.

Materials
Color A:
50 g Isager Bouclé (100 % alpaca; 175 m/50 g)
100 g Isager Soft (54 % alpaca, 44 % organic pima cotton; 125 m/50 g)
– one strand of each yarn is held together throughout

Color B:
50 g Isager Bouclé (100 % alpaca; 175 m/50 g)
100 g Isager Soft (54 % alpaca, 44 % organic pima cotton; 125 m/50 g)
– one strand of each yarn is held together throughout

Note: The amount of Bouclé yarn above is exactly enough to knit the complete scarf as described in the pattern. Each stripes uses just under 10 g of Isager Bouclé. The amount of yarn you need may vary slightly depending on how you knit. If you would like to knit a longer version of the scarf, I recommend purchasing an extra skein of Isager Bouclé in each color.
