WINTER WIND is worked in stockinette stitch and features a simple silhouette and a slightly pushed-back shoulder line.

The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. First, stitches are cast on for the yoke, which is worked back and forth, while increases are worked along the front edges to shape the V-neckline.

The work is then divided into the front and the back. First, the right front, the left front, and the back are worked separately. Then stitches are picked up and knitted along the armholes, and the work is joined again to be worked in the round to the bottom of the armholes. Here, the work is divided into the sleeves and the body. The body is worked in the round and finished with a lightly curved hem and a rib edge. The sleeves are also worked in the round and finished with a rib edge at the cuff. At the end, stitches are picked up and knitted along the neck opening, and a neck edge is worked in twisted rib.

As the sweater is worked from the top down, it is easy to adjust the length of the body and sleeves along the way to fit you perfectly.

It varies from person to person how much positive ease you like in your clothes. To help you choose which size to knit, measure one or more of your favorite sweaters so you can compare the measurements to those listed above.

Generally, I would recommend 20-40 cm of positive ease, depending on the look and fit you want.

My own Winter Wind has 38 cm of positive ease.
