Introduction
Although it is already April, its is freezing cold in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. So why not knit a cap? One with bicycles circling around your head, keeping it warm when crossing the city! Like the Amsterdam youngsters who happily modelled for my Bicycle Cap, thank you dears!
This pattern is one for the whole outdoor family. Unisex and including two sized children versions. You only need little yarn, in total 60g at max for an adult version in three colourways.
I used Mary Wallin’s British Breeds, but of course you can use any wool from stash matching the gauge, which I achieved using needles 3 mm for the brim and 3.25 mm for body and crown.
The chart’s multiple for the body is 14 stitches and for the crown it is 28 stitches, determining the amount of stitches to cast on and to increase after you have knitted the brim.

Finished measurements
Adult: Circumference at brim band 54cm/21in unstretched, 21cm/8in in length from brim edge to crown.
Child small: Circumference at brim band 45m/17.7in unstretched, 19cm/7.5in in length from brim edge to crown.
Child big: Circumference at brim band 36cm/14in unstretched, 20cm/7.8in in length from brim edge to crown.
