  • English (US terms)
  • Danish

SIZE
The finished rose has a stem of approx. 30 cm (11.8 inches), and the flower itself measures approx. 11-12 cm (4.3-4.7 inches) in diameter.

YARN
The rose is made using 8/4 cotton yarn. You can use any brand you like, but this pattern was made using Lammy Yarns Cotton 8/4 and Hjertegarn Cotton No. 8.
For one rose you will need approximately:

  • Off-white: approx. 19 g (outer petals)
  • Light salmon: approx. 9 g (second outer layer)
  • Light pink: approx. 4 g (second inner layer)
  • Baby pink: approx. 3 g (center petals)
  • Green: approx. 4 g (leaves and flower base) Note: You can use any cotton yarn with a similar weight. Using different yarn or hook sizes will change both the finished size and yarn consumption.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED

  • 1 thick floral wire, 30 cm (11.8 inches), 2 mm thick
  • 1 thin floral wire, 30 cm (11.8 inches), 0.6 mm thick (cut into two 15 cm pieces)
  • Hot glue gun

CROCHET HOOK
2.0 mm (US B-1)
If you normally use a different hook size with your chosen yarn, you can do so. Please note that the finished size and yarn usage may vary. Check your gauge if needed.

CROCHET GAUGE
10 cm (4 inches) = 24 single crochet stitches
If you have fewer than 24 stitches over 10 cm, use a smaller hook.
If you have more than 24 stitches over 10 cm, use a larger hook.
