Binjogenser
(When buying you get access to both the norwegian and the english version)
«Binjo sweater» is named after the designer’s fjord horse and is made to honour the Norwegian horse breeds and their vital role in Norwegian history. The sweater includes the selburose (an eight-petal rose often used in traditional Norwegian knitwear), trees, cart wheels, rose-painting(decorative painting, mainly used in Norway) and horse shoes. And of course a copy of the Norwegian horse breeds: either fjord horse, dole horse or Nordland/Lyngen horse. The sweater is knitted from the bottom-up with a circular yoke. The only making up needed is to sew a few stitches beneath the arms at the end. There is only one pattern and one number of stitches for all sizes, but it can be made smaller or bigger by changing the gauge. The original yarn used for the sweater is Léttlopi (Icelandic wool) and the gauge is 17 stitches per 10 cm. This gives a circumference equal to 100 cm around the body. How you do the math to change the size is thoroughly described in the pattern. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
