A list of the Birthday Month Gem Colors is at the back of the pattern book. Suggested colors of Caron Simply Soft worsted weight yarn are included but you may choose any favorite yarn brand and the gemstone color of that yarn you prefer.

A stitch marker is necessary. The marker will help you identify the beginning of the next round. It is important to use the stitch marker to make the task of transitioning from one round to another round a smooth process for you.
A US size G (4.00 or 4.25) crochet hook is needed for the project. Poly-fill stuffing is used to fill the cupcake.
