A love of birds is a thread that has been present my entire life, I grew up with my Mom feeding the birds and even today I get to see barbets, weavers and scimitar bills in our garden daily. The most beautiful thing is that now I get to experience this love through the eyes, and experiences, of others too.

Materials:
• One 4mm / US size 6 circular needle, 60cm / 24” in length, or size needed to obtain gauge.
• Stitch markers 4 (5, 6), optional, one of which is used to mark the beginning of round.
• Tapestry needle for sewing in threads.
• Blocking materials.
• Worsted weight yarn in two colours, approximately 123m (154m, 192m) / 135yds (168yds, 210yds) of both the Main Colour and the Contrast Colour for Chart 1. Worsted weight yarn in two colours, approximately 182m (227m, 274m) / 199yds (248yds, 300yds) of both the Main Colour and the Contrast Colour for Chart 2. The sample is shown in size 2 using Chart 1 and is worked in Malabrigo Rios - 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 192m / 210yds per 100g, in colourways Almond Blossom (Main Colour) and Syrah Grapes (Contrast Colour).
