This super cute hat is great for all sizes and genders. It can be made in a wide variety of yarns and colors from fun to classic. The blanket stitch gives it a great texture that also makes it nice and warm.

This is an intermediate level pattern, but it is fairly easy if you know your basic stitches, know how to work in rounds, and have some basic understanding of increasing. Also, if you’ve ever made a blanket using the “blanket stitch” before this pattern will be very familiar and easy to pick up. It’s a great pattern for a beginner who is ready to try their first intermediate pattern.

You can add an optional pom-pom for a super cute finishing touch, or leave the pom-pom off for a more classic beanie look. If you don’t know how to make a pom-pom, now is the perfect time to give it a try. The pattern includes video links for 2 different methods for making pom-poms.
