This sweet lace bonnet is very quick and easy to make, with:
• No seams to stitch or sew together
• Only three stitches used to create the entire bonnet: treble, chain and slip stitch
• Thicker hook size (5.5mm) so the bonnet works up very quickly.

The pattern is designed to provide an abundance of support so that even a novice crochet can make the bonnet.

Safety Warning
String ties at the neck can cause a safety risk to babies/children if the strings or loops catch onto an obstacle, or somehow over tighten around the neck. This bonnet should only be worn under close adult supervision, ideally with the ties left untied.
Most countries/regions have product safety standards for children’s garments, and may have specific mandates for string ties. So check those that are relevant to you, and make any necessary adjustments to the pattern.
