The crochet blood moon hat and scarf is a very warm and textured set. I love the feel of the pattern when you run your hand over it. Scarf can be made any length. The crochet hat and scarf was made with chick double knit yarn and a 6.5mm crochet hook. Pattern has a detailed photo tutorial of the stitches. If you read through the notes and follow the photo tutorial, the pattern will be very easy.

Pattern is written in US terminology.

Notes from the testers

•“I used a 6.5mm hook as you suggested and the yarn was premier everyday in aubergine (purple or eggplant) It list as a worsted weight but is on the lighter side so I consider it between the worsted and DK weight. Everything measured out on the gauge pattern.”

•“My band, unstretched, is 15’ x 3’. Total hat height is 8.75’. I left a long tail before my starting chain to use to whip stitch the band closed. I met gauge with a 6 mm hook but needed the 6.5 mm to get a proper sized band. Stitch instructions were very well written and easy to follow especially with the pictures to reference. Feather stitch was a new stitch to me and I had no issues with it at all.”

•“Pattern is easy to follow and the pictures helped. I used I Love this yarn sport in color Green Neon. I used a total of 165.6 yds, I had to go up to an 8mm hook to maintain gauge throughout the pattern.”
