Make your own Blue-Footed Booby! This tropical sea bird is known for its bright blue feet and somewhat goofy appearance. Blue-footed Boobies nest in large colonies on islands throughout the Pacific, with the highest number of breeding pairs found in the Galapagos Islands. Currently listed as least concern on the IUCN Red List, this bird is affected by ocean borne pollution and declining fish stocks.

The 82 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make an amigurumi-style Booby. PLUS there is a 31 page PRINTER-FRIENDLY TEXT ONLY VERSION at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a bird using worsted weight yarn.

Recommended for ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses basic crochet stitches and more complex stitches (detailed in the pattern glossary).

A finished Blue-Footed Booby made using Worsted Weight yarn is approximately 16” long from bill to tail, 15” tall from head to toe and 5” wide across the shoulders.

To make a Booby you will need:
Worsted weight yarn in multiple colors, ~500 to 550 yards total
3.5mm (E) or 4.0mm (G) crochet hook
16mm or 18mm safety eyes
