The Bluff Pullover is a top-down, dropped-shoulder sweater with a modified contiguous construction. A rolled-edge collar flows into k2, p2 ribbing, then splits flat at the front for short row shaping across mock-saddle shoulders. Stitches are picked up along the saddles to shape the back, then the front and back are joined in the round for the body. Sleeves are picked up and worked top down with tapered decreases into ribbed cuffs with a rolled edge.
The construction gives you a relaxed, slightly oversized silhouette with clean shoulder lines and no seaming. A center-back rib column runs from collar to hem.

17 sts and 26 rows = 4 in / 10 cm in stockinette, blocked, on US 8 / 5 mm needles.

Worsted to aran weight, or fingering held double.

Yarns with natural elasticity and some fluidity work best. The design is also a good candidate for superwash, just swatch generously. Avoid very dry, high-twist yarns or tightly spun rustic wools.

US 8 / 5 mm, 16” and 32” circulars (or size to get gauge)
US 6 / 4 mm, 16” circular for ribbing

Notions
8 removable stitch markers, waste yarn or spare cable, tapestry needle

Skills
German short rows (or preferred short row method), picking up stitches, working flat and in the round, m1l/m1r and m1lp/m1rp increases.
