I have a long love affair with self-striping yarns, but have the problem that plain stockinette puts me in a zombie trance. I designed this pattern to play with the lines of self-striping yarns and add a few rows of something different to mix things up when the yarn color changes.

This pattern works best with striping yarns that have at least 4 rows per stripe, but can be modified to work with fewer rows by using the stitch pattern every other stripe color change rather than every stripe color change.

This pattern also includes my OMG heel: One-needle Mock Gusset, which does not disrupt the striping on the top of the foot because the gusset increases and turning of the heel is all on the bottom of the foot.
