In remembrance of my sister Melly on her birthday, November 29th, I have designed a hat and cowl that I would love to knit and be able to give to her. I fondly remember watching Rent, the movie based on the musical, with my sister and singing ‘Seasons of Love’ together.  Instead of focusing on the far too few years I had with my sister, I try to “remember the love” and “measure in love”.

This is designed in honor of my sister Melly along with other hats: For Good, Measure In Love, and Joyful Joyful.

Please knit the hat/cowl and give it to a loved one, to
share love, give love, spread love” and
measure your life in love
as the song encourages us to do.

This textured and squishy hat/cowl features a simple, yet interesting lace panel surrounded by garter panels.
