This listing is for the original Olann knitting pattern for the Blythe Sweater.

The Blythe Sweater is a beautiful cropped design with a wide 3/4 length sleeve. The detailing on the front and sleeves adds a modern touch, and a style all its own. The Blythe looks great with all your high-waisted garments and is super cozy, perfect for cooler days and evenings. But if less cropped is more your style, the sleeve and body length are both flexible, so you can easily achieve the perfect fit.

Knit from the top down, the seamless construction is easy to try on as you go, to make sure the fit is just right. Knit using a Super Bulky weight wool, the Blythe Sweater works up quickly.

This is an intermediate level knitting pattern. It is wordy, so it is my advice to read the pattern through fully before beginning, highlighting the sections that apply to YOUR SIZE ONLY to help you stay on track. There are some notes in the Tips and Finishing section that may also help you along the way.

Size Guide

Generously roomy, with up to 10 inches of positive ease, this sweater is designed for a boxy, cropped fit. The pattern is currently available in sizes 1 - 5 with finished body/bust measurements from 41.25 - 56.5 inches / 105 - 143.5 cms. To begin, measure your bust and choose the size that gives you some extra inches for a roomy fit. Alternatively, if you’d prefer a neater look, you may wish to size down.

Please note, that when working with a Super Bulky weight yarn it can be more challenging to maintain consistent gauge. It was found during the test knit process for the Blythe Sweater that while some knitters sweaters knit up perfectly to size, others sweaters knit up a bit bigger. It is my advice to try your sweater on frequently to make sure you are getting the fit you desire.
