This is an adult sized, loose fit vest top that can be worn open, or tied at the start of the V neckline, or tied around the waist with a matching belt. It has a v neckline at the front, and is worked in one piece from the lower edge up to the arms, and then re-joined at the shoulders.

A simple border is added to the armholes and edge.

I used Euro Baby Kid Cotton, and a 4.5mm hook. This yarn is 100% cotton and is soft and doesn’t split, so it is lovely to work with.

The top has a 2-row pattern, alternating a shell row with a V stitch row.

Skill: Foundation double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, chain, increase, ss, basic sewing.

Gauge
8 rows of trebles, 16 stitches across, using the Euro Kid baby cotton and 4.5mm hook.

Sizing
The pattern is given in 2 sizes:
Small (blue): approximately UK size 10-12, with a length from shoulder to hem of 26”. You will need 4 balls for the Small size.

Large (cream): approximately UK size 14-16, with a shoulder to hem length of 30”. You will need 6 balls for the Large size.
