The inspiration for Bombus Socks comes from the charming world of bumblebees. These socks feature a striped design and vibrant colors reminiscent of the bees’ distinctive appearance. To add a touch of fun, a mock honeycomb stitch texture has been included in the design. The socks aim to capture the playful and lively essence of bumblebees while offering a comfortable and stylish accessory for everyday wear.

The textured pattern is worked in a contrast colour in the round on the leg, on the foot short rows are worked to only have the texture on the top, while the soles of the feet are worked in stockinette stitch to ensure maximum comfort.

The instructions are written for magic loop.

The Bombus socks feature textured stripes in a mock honeycomb pattern and stockinette. For a good fit among sizes, the width of the stripes is varied. The socks are worked starting from the cuff, feature an anatomical toe and are finished with an afterthought heel.

Depending on the size, you will need between 50-70g of each the MC and CC in a 4ply fingering sock yarn. If you want to go for a colourful look, it’s also a great pattern to use up scrap yarn or minis.
