Braia Camisole

CONSTRUCTION
The BRAIA camisole is knit in rounds from the bottom up. Immediately after the cast on, a lace pattern is knitted, followed by decreases for the front. On the back, decreases are knitted all at once with box pleats. Then, at the same time, the back neckline is shaped with short rows and increases are made for the cups. The cups are then knitted back and forth with an iCord edge, and box pleats are knitted again to finish the cups.
The straps are either braided from 3 iCords each (option 1) or given a similar look by cabling (option 2), these are wider and more bra-friendly.
As in some places you have to pay attention to several things at the same time, this is a pattern for experienced knitters.

1, 2, 3, (4, 5, 6), 7, 8, 9, {10} with finished bust measurement of
Cup A: 70.8, 76.9, 80, (86.2, 89.2, 95.4), 101.5, 104.6, 110.8 , {116.9} cm
Cup B: 75.4, 81.5, 84.6, (90.8, 93.8, 100), 106.2, 109.2, 115.4,{121.5} cm
Cup C: 81.5, 87.7, 90.8, (96.9, 100, 106.2), 112.3, 115.4, 121.5, {127.7}
Cup D: 86.2, 92.3, 95.4, (101.5, 104.6, 110.8), 116.9, 120, 126.2, {132.3}
The finished camisole is worn with about 5-8 cm negative ease in the underbust and bust measurement. First, measure your underbust circumference and choose the appropriate size from 1-10. Now measure your bust circumference and choose between sizes A-D the one that is closest to your bust measurement. If you are between two sizes, I recommend choosing the smaller one, as the piece tends to grow with washing and wearing.
The camisole has been graded up to a bust size of 156cm, but unfortunately, could not be tested for the larger sizes. If you wish to knit this pattern, but cannot find your size here, please contact me via e-mail psquaredknitting@gmail.com and I will provide the pattern to you free of charge.
In the photos, the purple version of the camisole (knit in Sandnes Tynn Line) is pictured in size 2B on a person with 70cm underbust circumference and 86cm bust circumference (resulting in about 2cm of negative ease). The cropped green version (knit in Sandnes Mandarin Petit) is shown in size 1B on the same person (with about 10cm of negative ease). The final garment should have negative ease, i.e. be smaller than your body measurements. Testers that only had about 0-2cm of negative ease noted that they would opt for a smaller size.

Sandnes Tynn Line (220m / 50g) OR Sandnes Mandarin Petit (180m / 50g), depending on the chosen option and size:

The estimated meterage refers to the measurements given in the schematic and the option „high rise back“. For the option „mid rise back“ you need about 12% less yarn, for the option „low rise back“ about 14% less. For the modification for the cropped version you need about 25% less yarn than for the corresponding size in full length.
Please note: If you choose to modify the length or you do not meet gauge, the required meterage will differ!
