Bonny Wee Kerchief
A nod to my Scottish roots I wanted to make a Wee scarf in the family tartan colors. Written for 4 colors this scarf can be made with 1 full skein of DK and 3 minis. Use high contrast colors or nice subtle blended hues. The pattern can also be made in a 2 color version using a full skein of one color and 150 yards of a contrasting color. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. All the samples were knit with yarn from Olive & Two Ewe Studios. The color changes are knit in 2 row sequences that make it easy to keep organized as you go along. If you don’t want to carry the yarn, no problem. Just cut at the end of the 2 row sets, tie off and move on with main color. The fun texture is achieved with Eyelet rows and a less-common “knit-below” stitch. The pattern includes video links for quick reference. Once you see it, you won’t believe how easy it is and how great it looks on the back as well as the front - perfect for a scarf/wrap. So quick and easy to knit yet impressive enough to give as a gift.
