Live loop cables play well with lacy v-stitch in this asymmetrical triangle shawl. A single rope cable adorns the long edge, and more cables appear across the shawl’s wide end. Tall v-stitches between the cables create eyelet columns that block into graceful, scalloped points. Optional crochet buttons adorn the start of each shorter cable.

Shawl is worked from the corner out, and can be adapted to varying amounts of yarn. Sample used 1 skein of solid yarn and 1 skein of chromatic gradient.

This pattern is part of the book Live Loop Cables in Crochet, which uses an innovative technique to create I-cord like cables on the fabric surface. Patterns were tech edited by Amy Daraghy (GreenHook on Rav).

Thanks for viewing, and happy crocheting!
