For the first three months after we brought our son home, he would not sleep anywhere but in our arms. We had to sleep in shifts and it seemed like those exhausting nights would never end - and yet when they did, I missed the countless hours of holding him in my arms and staring at his beautiful face as he slept.

Early on I nicknamed him “Booger”, because he was not an easy baby. This quickly evolved into “Boogey”, “Boogey Man”, “Boogey Monster” and the like.

This pattern was born during those “Boogey Nights” of our fourth trimester.

While the pattern is written to be a single skein lovey/stroller sized baby blanket, the width and height can be easily adjusted by simply adding or removing repeats. The finished measurements as written are 16” tall and 16” wide, after blocking, and uses a full 100g skein of fingering or light fingering weight yarn.
