Bring a bit of whimsy to your bookshelf with the
Book Sprout, by Pendleton Artistry. This hand crocheted, 100% cotton, bookmark is easily made in a 7” size for paperbacks and small books, and an 11” for larger scale books, but may be adjusted for any size.

The Book Sprout pattern is designed for intermediate crochet artists using about 10 yards of size 4 medium weight yarn with a 4.0 mm hook. The bookmark is best crocheted in a 100% cotton yarn that holds its shape well. The leaves should stand on their own as the stem is held by the book. Starching of just the leaves may help stiffen a softer yarn enough to hold. The featured book sprout was crocheted using “Peaches & Creme: Original” by Yarnspirations in “Rosemary” coloration.

Gauge for this piece is unimportant.
