PATTERN NOTES
Five delightful things about the Bookbinder Cardigan:
1. The slipped stitch colorwork means that only one color is used per row. It’s beginner friendly and really fun!
2. It’s a size-inclusive design and will fit people with chest circumferences between 28-68” / 70-170cm. Beautiful hand knit sweaters are for everyone!
3. The colorwork pattern has the best texture. So squishy!
4. The contrast color button band, cuffs and hem really pop, and are a great way to use that beautiful single skien you might have bought without any particular plan!
5. The cuffs on Bookbinder are slightly gathered, giving the lower sleeve a little bit of a poof for extra whimsy!
Bookbinder is cast on at the bottom and worked flat to the underarms. At that point your stitches are divided into three sections (L front, back and R front) with each worked separately. Once all three are completed the fronts and back are grafted together at the shoulders. Sleeves are worked seamlessly in the round from the shoulder to the cuff.
