This pattern is a tribute to my hometown: Berlin! The way I experienced it more than twenty years ago when the wall had just come down and the east part of Berlin was our playground at night. A tribute to all the nightclubs, street-life, Döner Läden und Parks. A hail to coal ovens, poverty, lost souls and survival of the fittest. A hail to the REAL Berlin.

So having said that it is obvious why this sweater is a hoodie and should keep you warm at any time.

It’s a bottom up knitted hoodie with a slightly positive ease. A real hoodie, not a sweater with a pointy dwarf hood. And a hoodie that does not drop down backwards because of the weight of its hood. So the design of the mohair hood has practical reasons as well.

The set-in sleeves are worked top down starting with some short rows.

A lot of attention has been paid to the fit of especially the bigger sizes. You can add some bust darts for a better fit.

YARN
Since you will be creating your own pattern by changing and combining yarns, it is difficult to predict how much yarn you will use. The indication I give should be enough to get the project done, but if you are in doubt always buy an extra skein.
