The Bottoms up Bloomers are the perfect summer bum cover with a stitch pattern that’s so simple yet interesting, you’re going to find yourself using it again and again.

This pattern includes written, chart and video instructions for sizes ranging from newborn to 3 years and can be easily modified to cover anything from a big bootied cloth diaper to a tiny underpants wearing toddler!

These bloomers are knit top down beginning with a provisional cast-on and starting at the drawstring channel. The body is worked in the round and then separated into front and back panels that are shaped and joined in the middle to create your leg-holes. The ribbing at the leg openings are worked in the round using picked up stitches.

This project works up quickly and you might find yourself working a cute pair of bloomers up for all the babes in your life! Grab your favorite dk weight cotton and work up the perfect baby shower gift and, while you’re at it, have a cocktail.
