For me this is the most comfortable accessory during the time between seasons.

The fit of the headband is basic so that the yarn can stand out.

This bulky headband is double layered, starting with a provisional cast on and followed by working in stockinette stitch. The headband is folded at two points, given structure by a double knit knitting technique. To finish, the provisional cast on will be opened up and the work is sewn together with kitchener stitch.

Caution: the version using Bouclé by Isager and Sunday by Sandnes is knittet with three strands.

4mm (US 6) or the size required to meet the gauge in 40cm (16 inches)

and needles the same or smaller size to pick up the provisional cast on at the end

and crochet hook 4mm or similar

and tapestry needle

100 (100) 100g Poodle from High Wooltage (100g=200m) (single strand version)

or 100 (100) 100g Isager Bouclé (50g=175m) (double strand)
together with 50 (50) 50g Sunday by Sandnes (50g=235m) (single stand)

and leftover yarn for cast on
