This pattern is a collaboration with Les Belles Bouclettes, whose farm I had the pleasure of visiting in Ontario, Canada. Isabelle’s Angora goats produce a wonderful mohair which is then woolen spun along with some Rambouillet to produce an incredibly warm and comfortable sock yarn. Holding one of the newborn goats in my arms and admiring its very tight curls, I was inspired to design a pattern that would represent them. I hope these socks keep you cozy and bring you joy!

This pattern is written from the cuff down, and using magic loop.

Yarn and notions:

Yarn: 100g fingering weight yarn (400-450 yards / 320-390 metres)
Sample in Jolie base (70% Home Farm Kid Mohair, 30% Canadian Rambouillet) by Les Belles Bouclettes
Colourway: Teal

Needles:
2.5 mm needles with a long cable for magic loop
* important note: the mock cable tends to tighten the fabric and it is recommended to use needles that are half a size bigger than your usual needles. In this case, I went up to 2.5 mm rather than use my usual 2.25 mm needles.

Other notions: stitch markers, scissors, darning needle

Gauge: 8 sts = 1 inch / 2.5cm in stockinette

Sizes: (choose a size that is slightly smaller than your foot circumference for a snug fit)
Small, 54-56 sts, finished circumference 7 inches
Medium, 62-64 sts, finished circumference 8 inches
Large, 70-72 sts, finished circumference 9 inches
