Fingerless gloves,  worked in the round. begin by casting on for the cuffs and then working after a chart.

There are 5 sizes, and the finished glove circumferences are:

  • 17.5, 19.5, 21, 22.5, 24 cm / 6.75, 7.5, 8.25, 8.75, 9.5 inches.

The length for all sizes is 18 cm / 7 inches.

There are 4 charts in total:

  • 2 charts for Bow gloves (1 for the left glove and 1 for the right glove).

  • 2 charts for Bowtie gloves (1 for the left glove and 1 for the right glove).

The needles, gauge, and yarn used in the samples are as follows:

  • 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needles for the cuff and trims.
  • 3.0 mm (US 2) needles for the main body and colorwork.
  • Gauge: 25 stitches X 29 rounds.

Yarn used:

For Bowtie sample (black/yellow):

  • MC (Main Color): Istex - Kambgarn, 50g = 150 m / 163 yds.
  • CC (Contrast Color): Sandnes Garn - Mini alpaca, 50g = 150 m / 163 yds.

For Bow sample (brown/cream):

  • MC: Holst Garn - Coast (2 strands together), 50g = 350m / 383 yds.
  • CC: Holst Garn - Coast (2 strands together), 50g = 350m / 383 yds.

Estimated meterage/ yardage:

For 1 glove:

MC: 46, 51, 56, 61, 63 m/ 51, 56, 62, 67, 69 yds.

CC: 6, 7, 7, 8, 8 m/ 7, 8, 8, 9, 9 yds.

1 glove weigh:

MC: 16, 17, 19, 21, 21 g

CC: 2, 3, 3, 3, 4 g.

50 g balls (enough for two gloves):

MC: 1, 1, 1, 1, 1.

CC: 1, 1, 1, 1, 1.

I recommend using yarn with some stretch to it. Having tried both, the cuff and trims feel and look a bit loose in the cotton blend yarn.
