I love bows! I love them in all forms and wanted to find a hat pattern with the perfect bow. The bow had to be big. It had to have rounded edges. It needed to look like the perfect ribbon bow … but knitted. I couldn’t find such a bow pattern. So I made my own. I hope you enjoy my version of a sassy bow.

The construction of this hat begins with the band which is knit back and forth in rows. Bow and band are all done in one piece and then seamed together in the middle. You will end up with an ear-covering headband, perfect for chilly days. To complete the hat stitches are picked up from one side of the headband and knit in the round.

I could knit 2 hats out of one skein of the Knit Picks Brava Bulky.

One size fits most.
