Bower Jacket
The Bower Jacket is worked from the top down. Begin by casting on at the back neck, then work European shoulder shaping and knit down the back to the underarms.
Next, pick up stitches at the front shoulders, working downward to shape the neck opening, then increasing to the underarms. Join the front and back pieces at the underarms and work the body to the desired length.
For the sleeves, pick up stitches around each armhole, shape the sleeve cap working back and forth using German Short Rows, then work in the round to the wrist. Finally, add I-cord edging around the neck, fronts, and hem.
After blocking, attach grosgrain ribbon to button band and install snaps.
