The Forest Home Sweater celebrates my first real home away from home – a place of friendship, comfort, and joy in a neighborhood called “Forest Home.” Surprisingly easy to knit, this seamless, drop-shoulder design gives your little one room to move while offering you a straightforward, enjoyable knitting experience. Use your favorite worsted yarn or go shopping in your stash ;)

The Forest Home Sweater is worked top-down in this order:

(1) The back yoke is worked flat from shoulders down the underarms.
(2) The front sides are worked by picking up stitches from the back shoulders, and joined at the neck, then worked down the underarms.
(3) Front and back are joined at underarms to work the body in the round.
(4) Sleeve stitches are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round with DPNs.
(5) Neckline ribbing is picked up and added at the end.
