Size is measured at the widest part of the foot. It is best to do this with the foot on the floor. If the person you are making it for is able, get them to draw around their foot. This means you can try the sock on even when they aren’t around and able to see where to stop for the toe shaping etc.
I don’t use Kitchener in this pattern. making it easier for all.
I haven’t specified the make of yarn, this is because it doesn’t matter. So long as It has nylon in the mix, your sock will work.
I used stash yarn, with is a merino/nylon mix.
I use stitch markers made for me by my daughter you can find her on facebook under jessie’s crafty hands.
I used the long loop cable to knit my socks but you can use, shorties, Dpn’s or crazys they all work just as well.
