This is one of my favorite reversible items made in double knitting technique. Double knitting is a technique that simultaneously forms two layers of knitted fabric while you knit with just two straight needles. It makes the items reversible and another benefit from double knitting – it prevents the fabric from curling in. I found out that it much quicker and easier than using circular needles and it requires less yardage of yarn. The advantage of learning a double stitch – it could be used as an element in many items (hats, cowls, double layered scarves, sleeve and mitten cuffs, bags, pillow cases, phone cases etc). With no seams at the side on a straight item or with no seams at all to be made.
