The Bramble Wrap is a rustic, textured crochet wrap made by alternating rows of sport-weight yarn with rows of handspun or art yarn. This creates a richly varied fabric where smooth stitches and uneven texture sit side by side, giving the finished wrap a natural, organic look.

The pattern is simple and repetitive, making it ideal for showcasing special yarns, handspun, or small-batch fibre alongside a steady base yarn. Inspired by bramble thickets and traditional wool layers, the finished wrap is warm, practical, and full of character.

Suitable for confident beginners and anyone who enjoys slow, tactile projects.

Designed for sport-weight yarn and art yarn, worked with a 4-5mm hook for the finer yarn and a 9-10mm hook for the art yarn/super bulky rows.

The sample uses a couple of sport weight skeins and about 200g of handspun art yarn (including for the fringes, but you can choose to make your fringes in the lighter weight too!).
