This is the Brave Bronto Kids Unisex Sweater! I recently realized something: nearly every crochet children’s item I see is for girls. But two of my really good friends just had boys, and I wanted to make sure they had something special! And since I consider dinosaurs to be unisex, this is a fun unisex kids sweater. With the colorwork Brontosaurus on the front, this top is sure to be a hit with any kiddo! And it’s perfect for a quick an easy weekend project!

For this kids top I decided that dinosaurs need some representation! You can make it in short sleeved cotton for the spring/summer or long sleeved acrylic or (superwash!) wool for the fall/winter. The Brontosaurus is my personal favorite dino, and with that characteristic long neck, I figured it would look fantastic on a sweater! Also, the pattern is written for sizes 6m (16”) up to 14/16 (34”), so it’s perfect for every child!

You will need a 5mm hook and 300-1000 yards (depending on size) of any dk weight yarn. I used Premier Anti-Pilling Everyday DK, and it’s perfect for the fall/winter! You will need a basic understanding of the usual crochet stitches, slip stitch and half double crochet.

As always you are welcome to reach out if you have any questions about the pattern. Once the pattern is purchased, you may sell your finished items, as long as you give credit to me as the designer.
