I love the look of I-Cord shawls! I enjoy knitting them although they take a little more time. ;-) For this shawl I wished for something that is not to heavy, so I can wear it in the first days of autumn. But it should still have a texture that is making the shawl look like a thick one. This shawl is not made in the regular way. It is coming out from four sections beginning with the I-Cord from the middle. The texture is the result of a simple combination of knit and purl stitches, that brings a relaxing knitting experience. The I-Cord edge gives the shawl the completion.

Ich liebe den I-Cord-Look! Deshalb ist es mir eine besondere Freude, Tücher mit I-Cords zu stricken, obwohl sie etwas mehr Zeit beanspruchen. Für ein neues Tuch wünschte ich mir etwas, das nicht zu dick ist, damit ich es an den ersten frischen Herbsttagen tragen kann. Aber ich wollte auch etwas mit Struktur, das den Schal optisch voluminöser aussehen lässt. Dieses Tuch wird nicht wie gewöhnlich gestrickt, sondern es besteht aus 4 aufeinanderfolgenden Abschnitten, beginnend mit einem I-Cord in der Mitte. Die Textur entsteht durch eine einfache Kombination aus rechten und linken Maschen, wodurch das Stricken der beiden Tuchseiten entspannt und “mindless” ist. Die I-Cord Abschlusskante rundet dann das Gesamtbild des Tuches ab.
