This is a little “barely-there-beret,” so called because you can block it on a plate like I did and it will act slightly like a beret, or just block it normally and wear it as a toque!

In total, 7 worsted weight yarns of different colors are used in this hat Use a mix of different fibers as well if it suits you!

Rib is started with US 7 needles, then US 8, then 9. It is just as fine to use US 9 the entire time but I was going for a tighter rib so I started with a US 7 and gradually moved up by the end of the rib.

The finished hat should fit snugly (but not too snugly) after being blocked. If you want a looser fitting hat, go up needle sizes.
