Childhood memories gave me the inspiration for this pattern. Hills and dales surrounded my home and bicycle was my mode off transport. When I reached a beautiful bridge on my homeward journey I knew there was just one more hill to go. From this we have the “Bridge before Home” Socks.

This pattern has beautiful stretch so instead off changing stitch count use the smaller needle for size small/medium (64st equivalent) and 2.25mm for m/l (72st equivalent). It works a treat.

I have worked with the beautiful Suzie from Elderflower Sitches who has created this stunning 4ply 75/25/5 swm/nylon/stellina in a special Bridge before Home Colourway. For the samples it has been knit in the green main sock yarn and 5 variations of micro skeins and also in a beautiful grey. There are other combinations available on her website.
Yarn usage from my testers ranged from 60-80g in main colour and 20-30g for contrasting heel, toes and cuffs.

Cuando llegaba al precioso puente en mi viaje de vuelta a casa, sabía que sólo quedaba una colina para llegar. De esto tenemos los calcetines “Bridge Before Home”.

Este patrón tiene una elasticidad estupenda así que, en vez de cambiar el recuento de puntos, usa las agujas más pequeñas para la talla pequeña/mediana (equivalente a 64pt) y las agujas de 2.25mm para la m/l (equivalente a 72pt). Funciona de maravilla.

He trabajado con la preciosa Suzie de Elderflower Stitches, quien ha creado este impresionante 4ply 75/25/5 swm/nylon/stellina en el color especial Bridge Before Home. La lana usada por mis testers ronda los 60-80g del color principal y los 20-30g del color de contraste para el talón, el puño y la puntera.
