During the Christmas period decorating begins in the farmhouse with the Christmas Tree. Nothing beats sitting down beside the tree with some knitting and soaking in a few moments of calm, here and there.
I wanted a pattern that would give a little interest and yet simple enough for setting down and picking up any time there is a chance. This pattern has been designed to do exactly that - give you a little interest as you knit the colour work section, followed my a simple sock recipe, giving you some mindless, enjoyable knitting.

The pattern is a top down sock in sizes small, medium and large. It has a very simple colour work chart, suitable for any sock knitter who would like to try colour work socks.

I have knit the pattern using contrast in the heel and toe but it would be equally as pretty in the main colour only. Approx. 20g in CC is required for the colour work as well as a few strands found in your left over basket for the tiny little trunks.
Colour choice is up to you!!!

You may find your colourwork leaving the sock a little tight under the cuff so it is preferred to use the larger needle size for the colour work section. It is also important to ensure that you carry your floats loosely at the back of the work, giving attention at the needle changing point.

I really hope you enjoy knitting this pattern as much as I have designing it. Why not take part in the knit-along I am hosting during December on Instagrram. I will be doing some live videos and please use #kfchristmassocks to share the beautiful socks you make with others

This pattern has been test knit and tech edited.
