This is a pattern for handknit fair-isle gloves with instructions for full and half fingered gloves. I have given colourways for Jamieson & Smith jumper weight yarn and Jamieson’s of Shetland spindrift. The colourways are very similar but the J & S version has a light fawn as the background and the Jamieson’s version has a light grey as the main colour. The gloves are constructed with an afterthought thumb. Because the pattern on the back of the hand and the palm are the same and the fingers are plain I think this would be good if you’d like to have a go at gloves for the first time. They are also excellent for using up little left overs of yarn and experimenting with colour.
