This is a great quick knit for a cozy winter hat. Looks great on men and women, and you can easily customize it with different stitch patterns or colours.

It comes out at around 21 inches in circumference, but you can easily adjust the pattern to make it larger or smaller.

It can usually be done with just one ball of yarn, although if you’re making it large or extra slouchy you may need a second. Here I used one ball of Debbie Bliss Donegal Luxury Tweed Aran, but any worsted weight yarn would be fine. Also, the brim may optionally be knit with the smaller circular needle if you prefer a fit that’s a little more snug.
