This is more of a recipe than a pattern, since my poncho was knitted with an unknown brand of bouclé yarn in cones of 1kg each. I used a total of 500 grams of yarn, but you might need more or less. Unfortunately I don’t know the weight to length ratio of the yarn I used.

The poncho is knitted flat from one side to the other, with a section of bind off and cast on to shape the hole for the head.
The hood is picked up around the neckline and knitted after the body is done.
You can adjust the length of the poncho by adding or removing repeats of the hour glass chart. You can adjust the width of the poncho by adding or removing rows when stated in the pattern.

Inspired by the poncho Bruno Madrigal wears in the movie Encanto.
